Farmland preservation: Marsh supports voluntary farmland preservation and the Voluntary Agricultural District program to keep working farms in production, using incentives and easements rather than mandates.

Clean water: Marsh supports expanding practical, cost-share conservation practices to reduce erosion and runoff into the Neuse River and its tributary creeks.

Conservation education: Marsh supports investing in district youth programs, including Envirothon, classroom visits, and the mobile soils classroom, to develop future stewards of soil and water.
